Big & Little
The relationship between big and little is one of the most important and meaningful relationships we forge within our chapter. Finding a big helps new members become more acquainted with the active members in our chapter and give them a better sense of what our sisterhood is all about. New members go on "Anchor dates" where they spend time with active members, getting more involved with our chapter and, ultimately, helping them find the girl that will be their big. Through a mutual selection process, each new Dee Gee is assigned an older sister within our chapter that will help guide them and be a friend to lean on during their first year in Delta Gamma and at UC Davis.
Big Little Week
During Big Little week, newly assigned Bigs shower their Littles with love, all while remaining anonymous. Littles receive extravagantly decorated baskets personalized to their preferences filled with everything from candy to DG letters and t-shirts. At the end of the week, the entire chapter gathers at the house. Each Little is given a "family theme" which helps them find their matching Big. They run into their arms and meet their DG family that helps make Delta Gamma feel even more like a home away from home!
I love my big Charlotte because she’s given me a family and a home away from home. She goes to lengths 24/7 to make sure I always have what I need, and if I ever need help, she’s one phone call away and will ALWAYS answer. She has the best advice, can always make me laugh and lets me have my side of the bed when I sleepover.

Forever Friendships
Big and little truly is one of the most valuable friendships you will make while in DG. Your Big is a mentor and best friend all wrapped into one, someone to look up to, count on, and come to when your first year gets tough. These relationships last much longer than your time spent at UC Davis and become friendships that you can carry on into the rest of your life. We're so lucky to have our Bigs and a chapter full of such warm and wonderful women that make this school so special!
I am so beyond lucky to have someone like Brooke in my life. She has not only pushed and supported me in school, but has encouraged me to always do what is best for me. I am so grateful to have someone who is always ready to lend a listening ear.
