Some people may find themselves getting nervous as recruitment approaches- but there's nothing to be worried about! Read our tips below to ensure you'll have a great week and end up in the right sorority for you.
Not sure if Greek life is the right fit for you? That's ok! Some girls who go through recruitment are still unsure if they want to join a sorority. Give yourself the opportunity to experience recruitment week. Regardless of whether you join a sorority or not, you'll meet a ton of new friends. Many DG sisters first became close because they went through recruitment together.

This is the golden rule of recruitment. The purpose of joining a sorority is finding your home away from home. Let your personality shine through in order to end up with the girls that you feel most comfortable with- the ones that will also help you grow into the person you want to become. Stay true to yourself, even if this means choosing a different sorority than your friends.

It is important to set aside any stereotypes you have heard about Greek life or any specific sorority. Every sorority here at UC Davis has a diverse house full of intelligent, fun, beautiful women! It is up to you to keep an open mind and choose the sorority you feel most at home in, and the one that can give you the college experience that you're searching for.
